This is an attractive - and I deem clearly used and/or worn - example of a (truly somewhat luxuriously-styled!) silver-class wound-badge (ie. 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber') being of the scarcely observed - (ie. early-period- aka 'Spanish Civil-War'- or: 'Legion Condor'-) pattern that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The (typical non-magnetic!) wound-badge - which is an unmarked version that shows a very pronounced swastika as more often encountered - clearly shows wear ie. age but retains, however, a neat and just somewhat 'tarnished' age-patina: it has, however, lost its silver-toned finish and has now a golden-toned appearance (as can be seen on the pictures). The wound-badge - which comes naturally mounted onto its functional, regular-sized- (and also non-magnetic) pin and that has an undamaged and/or: functional catch - still retains extraordinary and/or pronounced detail (as can be seen on the pictures). I am of the opinion, that the piece on offer here is a 100% genuine, period-example that was obviously worn: it originates from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collectors'-hands. The piece was never cleaned nor polished and comes as found. In any case an attractive - and most certainly original! - early-pattern, silver-class specimen that is - I deem - priced according to its fully untouched albeit clearly worn condition!
