Category:
The neat - and with certainty unusally seen! - neatly engraved and genuine silver-based (ie. '835'-marked) typical 'souvenir'-item (ie. 'Schnappsbecher') is showing the engraved text (ie. unit-designation) that reads: 'A.Pi.Fü 7' (and on its other side a date: '3-2-41') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem only minimally used-), condition. The piece - which has an approximate height of only 4,5 cms. and that has an approx. diameter of 3,2 cms. - shows a typical silver-content- (ie. makers'-) designation stamped into its bottom (that reads: 'SW 835 WTB' or alike) and is truly nicely fabricated: it is a neat example of the shown craftmenship of the days. The piece - which was luckily never cleaned nor polished - is nicely preserved and is void of any damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). These neat 'souvenir'-items could be privately purchased from artisans and were very popular amongst the troops. Simply a neat - and naturally 100% genuine! - TR-period-'souvenir'-item that was presented to an army engineer (ie. 'Pionier') and that originates from a German private-household where it was recently uncovered: I deem that this unusual item would surely merit further investigative work!
