This is an attractive example of a black-class wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwarz') being an example that is clearly maker-marked on is back (in the left-sided sword as always with pieces by this maker) with the makers'-code: '100' (signifying that it is a piece as was produced by the 'Rudolf Wächtler & Lange' company) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The badge - which is executed in typical magnetic-based metal - shows some obvious wear ie. age and has a correct - untouched and fully functional - pin- and/or catch (-set-up) in place. The badge has, however, never been cleaned and shows evident tarnish and/or wear: it truly retains most (ie. all) of its shiny, black-toned finish. The badge - that was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished - is nicely maker-marked: '100' (within the the left-sided sword as is common with these by 'W&L'-produced WBs) signifying that it is a piece as was produced by the 'Rudolf Wächtler u. Lange' company, based in Mittwaida. Simply an attractive and clearly maker-marked, black-class WB that is accordingly priced!
