This is an attractive - minimally mismatched but nevertheless desirable and nowadays scarcely found! - pair of Waffen-SS, NCO-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Unterführer der Waffen-SS') as piped in the neat darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'SS-Oberscharführer' (ie. NCO or sergeant) who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Sanitäts-Truppen' (ie. medical-troops) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The shoulderstraps - which were most certainly always together and that were used as a pair - are constructed from the typical, black-coloured-wool and show the black-coloured 'upperdecks': the straps show in all facets a 'standard-issued- and (I deem) mid- (ie. later-) war-pattern-type pair. The shoulderstraps - which measure approximately 10,5 cms. sized in length each as more often encountered - show the neat darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured branchcolour and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type branchcolour ie. piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which are 'backed' with field-grey-coloured wool as to be expected and that show the typical, beige-yellow-toned- (ie. tropical-styled) NCO-braid and two (regular-sized, aluminium-based) pips period-attached - come of course mounted onto their tongues attached (one of the tongues is of the standard, somewhat early-period-pattern whereas the other one is of the typical, smaller-sized SS-pattern). The straps are totally void of any damage but do show some obvious wear, age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that these original, period Waffen-SS NCO-type-shoulderstrap-pairs can easily be graded 'very scarce': even more so, when they are piped in the not that often encountered, darker-blue- (ie. 'blauer'-) coloured (ie. 'SS-Sanitäts-Truppen'-related) branchcolour!
