Zinc-based, WH (Heeres) 'Gebirgsjäger-Pioniere'-related ID-disc bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that reads: 'Stamm. Geb.Pi. E.u.A. Btl. 82' and that comes as issued and/or worn
Category:
This is an attractive - with certainty scarcely encountered and truly used and/or worn! - example of a greyish-coloured- and/or typical zinc-based, WH (Heeres) 'Gebirgsjäger-Pioniere'-related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Stamm. Geb.Pi. E.u.A. Btl. 82' and that as such belonged to a soldier (ie. NCO or even officer) who served within the root (ie. 'Stamm'-) company of the replacement and/or training (ie. 'Ergänzungs u. Ausbildungs') mountain-troop enigeers-bataillon, numbered: '82'. The disc - that came mounted onto its greyish-toned cord as worn - comes in an overall nice (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!): it does show the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn and shows some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered and was as such most certainly issued, worn- and/or stored for decades. The disc also shows the bearers'-blood-group-type (Type 0) and shows a clearly stamped bearers-numeral that reads: '5088'. Simply a 100% garuanteed original 'Gebirgsjäger-Pioniere'-related -related ID-disc that is I deem accordingly priced!
