2-pieced RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related medal-bar (ie. 'Orden- o. Doppelspange') showing resp. a: 'Dienstauszeichnung 4. Stf. für Männer' and a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal)

This is an attractive, RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related medal-bar (ie. 'Orden- o. Doppelspange') showing respectively a: 'Dienstauszeichnung 4. Stf. für Männer' (or: RAD-loyal-service-award for 4 years of loyal-service) and a: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) both awards coming in an overall nice- (and I deem only moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. Both awards come mounted onto their period ribbons and are both nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: they come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty (ie. used) condition and come naturally mounted on their period ribbons. The 'RAD-Dienstauszeichnung für Männer der 4. Stufe in Bronze' is of the (typical) 'light-weight'- (ie. darker-bronze-toned- ie. aluminium- ie. 'Cupal'-based) version and truly retains gorgeous details and has a great ie. only minimally darkened- (ie. somewhat tarnished) age-patina: it retains all of its darker-bronze-toned finish and has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished (as can be seen on the pictures). The attractive and typical golden-bronze-toned: 'Deutsches Schutzwall Ehrenzeichen' (aka: 'Westwall'-medal) is a nicely preserved 'Buntmetall'-based example. The entire 'Spange' comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch set-up and is not 'backed' with a piece of wool but is constructed from zinc-based metal: it does shows a makers-designation that reads: 'TZ' (as can be seen on the pictures). Both awards were never cleaned nor polished and just show some minimal age, wear and/or staining. The medal-bar was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. The 'Spange' is most certainly a period-compiled- and/or worn piece and is NOT a post-war compilation or alike and was kept as such for decades. Simply an attractive - and truly decorative! - two-pieced, RAD- (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst'-) related medal-bar ie. 'Doppelspange' that is most certainly accordingly priced!
