'Standard-issue'-pattern, WH (KM) typical aluminium-based- and/or bright golden-toned ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke'): 'K.M.W. Ress. I - Wihelmshaven - Heinen - 2895 - 79' and accompanying 'Bootsmanns-Flöte'

The neat ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') - which is I deem of the typical 'standard-issued'- and/or regular pattern - bears the engraved coded numeral ie. text that simply reads: 'K.M.W. Ress. I - Wihelmshaven' (and on its others side the name-designation: 'Heinen - 2895 - 79' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The ID-disc does show some regular wear (it shows somewhat torn-out holes and obvious scratches and/or fair wear). It was, however, never cleaned nor polished and is still a bit dirty: the truly 'bright-coloured'- and frosted golden-bronze-toned finish is, however, still nicely- (ie. almost fully-) preserved. This particular piece was found mounted onto its period (green-toned) cord that also shows a firmly attached (chrome-steel-based) flute (ie. aka 'Bootsmanns-Flöte'). These flutes were 'standard'-equipment items for all naval non-commissioned-staff (ie. NCOs) and were used during exercises, training as well as during battle at sea. The piece on offer here is totally void of any marking or designation (as more often). The flute does show some moderate wear and/or usage but nothing too shocking: it was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and is just a bit tarnished. Simply an attractive and just moderately used- and/or worn naval-ID- ie. flute-set that would most certainly merit further investigative work!
