This is an attractive - very unusual and actually scarcely encountered! - neatly enamelled- and totally untouched! - so-called: 'Vaterländischer Frauen-Verein vom Roten Kreuz'- (ie. 'VFV'-) related nurses'-badge entitled: 'HS' (ie. 'Hilfsschwester') being an oval-shaped- and/or maker-marked specimen showing an engraved bearers'-number: ('124') and towns'-name: 'Magdeburg' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately worn- albeit fully untouched-), condition. The piece was (I deem) only moderately worn and is totally void of any enamel-damage and just shows some regular wear and does show some minor scratches ie. wear-marks (as can be seen on the pictures). The lapel-pin shows a (vague-present) makers'-designation (that is hard to decypher) and is engraved with a (unique, quite low) bearers'-number that reads: '124'. The badge most certainly belonged to a nurse that worked in a hospital or clinic based in the town of Magdeburg (something that is obvious due to the encountered enamelled text). The badge comes mounted onto its functional pin and/or catch (-set-up) (as can be noticed on the pictures). A similar badge is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken' lapel-pin-catalogue, were it is given the unique reference-number: 5634K. The badge on offer here was never cleaned and shows an attractive (bright-golden- ie. tarnished, golden-coloured-) patina on its back. This is a desirable oval-shaped version (having an approximate width of 4 cms.). Simply an attractive and honest example of this desirable DRK-related, 'Vaterländischer Frauen-Verein' (ie. 'VFV'-) related nurses'-badge that is with certainty not that often offered for sale: I deem that I have priced it accordingly!
