'1957-pattern: 'EK1.Kl.' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being a neatly maker- (ie. 'L/11'-) marked example as was produced by the (desirable!) 'Hersteller' (ie. maker): 'Wilhelm Deumer'
Category:
The attractive '1957-pattern cross - which is a typical non-vaulted- (ie. non-converse-) shaped example - has never been cleaned nor polished and retains an attractive age-patina and/or nice, pronounced detail as to be expected. This example - which is an evident and neatly maker- (ie. 'L/11'-) marked specimen as was produced by the desirable maker: 'Wilhelm Deumer' based in the town of Lüdenscheid - comes naturally firmly mounted onto its original- (and naturally unaltered and/or fully functional!) flute-shaped pin and/or typical catch (-set-up). The cross - which is a magnetic example as more often - shows a neatly 'blackened'- and/or fairly 'satin-like'- (ie. somewhat 'shiny') inner-core that retains most of its period colour. It is void of any real damage (as can be seen on the pictures): it has, however, clearly been issued and/or worn and is still a bit stained and/or dirty (it was never cleaned though and retains only some of its 'off-factory'-applied polished sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). I deem that I have priced this still attractive and - I deem - '1957-pattern, 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' by 'Wilhelm Deumer' according to its fully untouched condition!
