Mid- (ie. later-) war-period, zinc- (ie.'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Erdkampfabzeichen' (being a maker-marked example by the 'G.H. Osang'-company having a silvered- and 'riveted' eagle-device attached)

This is a very attractive - and I deem mid- (ie. later-) war-period - typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Erdkampfabzeichen' (or: ground-combat badge) being a clearly maker-marked example that was produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'G.H. Osang - Dresden' having a 'loose' (ie. firmly riveted- and silver-coloured) eagle-device originally attached and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat and very detailed badge - which as stated above has been moderately worn - comes naturally mounted onto its functional (and non altered!) pin- and/or catch (ie. catch set-up) as can be seen on the pictures. These mid- (ie. later-war-) period badges show a 'loose' and/or detailed (tarnished) silver-coloured eagle-device attached (by means of a single rivet as is visible on the back of the badge). These zinc-based badges show, however, nice and/or pronounced detail overall. The badge truly retains most of its period silverish-grey-coloured finish but does show a minimally tarnished age-patina as is more often encountered. The badge shows an impressed makers'-mark-designation on its back and can with certainty be attributed to the maker: 'G.H. Osang' based in the town of Dresden: the specific details corroborate this. The piece is still somewhat stained ie. dirty but was never been cleaned: the silver-coloured eagle-device retains a nice and fairly shiny appearance. Simply a very nice and garuanteed original, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based 'G.H. Osang'-version of this desirable Luftwaffe-war-badge that is I deem accordingly priced!
