The truly attractive - just moderately used and with certainy fully untouched! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross first class) - which is a typical minimally vaulted- (ie. minimally-converse-) shaped and I deem quite early-period example - retains very nice and pronounced details as to be expected. This example - which is as more often non-maker-marked - comes naturally firmly mounted onto its original- (and naturally unaltered and/or fully functional) flute-shaped pin and/or typical catch (ie. catch-set-up). The cross - which is a magnetic example - shows a neatly 'blackened'- and/or fairly 'satin-like'- (ie. somewhat 'matted') inner-core that shows some moderate wear but that is void of any paint-loss: just the swastika-area misses its colour (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross is (I deem) an evident specimen that was produced by the desirable maker: 'Klein & Quenzer' as based in the town of Lüdenscheid (ie. 'Hersteller 65'): it has nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this desirable maker. The piece is, however, still a bit stained and/or dirty (it has, however, lost its polished sides ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). I deem that I have priced this attractive - and most certainly early-war-period! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' by the 'Hersteller' (ie. maker) 'Klein & Quenzer A.G.', accordingly!
