Attractive - albeit regrettably single! - Dutch NSB (ie. 'Nationaal Socialistische Beweging') so-called: 'WA' (ie. 'Weerafdelingen') collar-tab as was intended for usage by a high-ranked WA-official with the rank of an: 'WA-Opperbanleider'

This is a truly attractive example of a (Dutch) NSB (ie. 'Nationaal Socialistische Beweging') (being the Dutch WWII pro-German Party) so-called: 'WA' (ie. 'Weerafdelingen') collar-tab as was specifically intended for usage by a high-ranked (ie. in Dutch 'Hooger Kader'-) WA-official with the rank of an: 'WA-Opperbanleider' that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just moderately worn and/or used- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. This movement - ie. the WA - could be compared with the German SA-stormtroopers and was (re-)founded in 1941 after having been disbanded for various years. The collar-tab is per regulation executed in bright-red-coloured (smooth-type) wool and shows four (typically-shaped and golden-toned) pips and two stripes of twisted and/or golden-toned bullion ie. braid. Of addtional interest is, moreover, that this piece shows its period NSB-'Intendance-sticker' on its back (that reads: 'Afd. XVI - Intendance - Utrecht') something that is more often - but not always! - seen on genuine NSB-related insignia. As stated above comes this piece in an overall nice albeit moderately worn condition without showing any damages nor defaults whatsoever. It has clearly been worn and just shows some darkened tarnish as more often encountered. Simply an attractive and actually very scarcely encountered NSB-related collartab which is not that often offered for sale!
