Superb, 'BeVo'-type armshield entitled: 'Kroatien' (being a 'virtually mint- ie. unissued' example as was specifically intended for a volunteer who served within the 'Deutsche Wehrmacht' ie. within the 'Kroatischer Legion')
Category:
This particular armshield - showing a showing a red/white 'checkered' shield with above the (German!) text: 'Kroatien' is neatly woven in the so-called: 'BeVo'-weave technique and comes as being straightly 'cut-off the roll': it was never used nor tunic-attached and can easily be graded 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'. These German-produced Croatian arm-shields existed also in Serbo-Croat spelling (having the wording: 'Hrvatska'): this is an example having the much more rarely encountered German spelling (as can be seen on the pictures). These - original - 'officially' by Germany produced arm-shields (ie. 'Ärmelschilder') as executed in 'BeVo'-type weave (ie. German manufacture by the company of 'BeVo') can be easily considered 'rare' and are hardly ever offered for sale. I deem that I have priced this (truly 'virtually mint ie. unissued'- and with certainty rarely seen!) German spelling example accordingly!
