'Polizei o. Gendarmerie'-arm-eagle (ie. 'Ärmeladler'): 'Gendarmerie Magdeburg'

The attractive - and somewhat larger-sized! - typical police ie. 'Polizei o. Gendarmerie'-arm-eagle (ie. 'Ärmeladler') measures approximately: 10 x 9 cms. and is executed on the typical summer-type, 'Polizei'-related linnen-based cloth (aka 'grünmellierte Stoff') and is nicely fortified with a linnen border as per regulation. The piece - that shows some minimal storage-age and/or staining only - comes in an overall very nice- (I deem simply never worn- ie. still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The neat piece truly shows great pronounced detail: the used machine-embroidery (done in typical bright-orange-coloured linnen) is simply stunning (as can be seen on the pictures). These unusal 'Polizei o. Gendarmerie'-related arm-eagles can also be encountered without having an embroidered towns-name above the eagle: this is a 'named' version showing the specific towns'-embroidery entitled: 'Magdeburg' (as can be noticed on the pictures). This particular piece originated from a small series of several scarcely seen 'Gendarmerie'- ie. 'Polizei'-related armbadges which series was brought to the USA after the war as so-called: 'vet-bring-back' souvenirs. It should be noted that these neat 'grünmellierter Gendarmerie Ärmeladler' can easily be graded 'fairly scarce' and do come not that often for sale!
