This is an attractive example of a WH (Luftwaffe) cuff-title ie. armband (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') entitled: 'Jagdgeschwader Udet' that comes in a just moderately worn- ie. minimally period-shortened- (and/or clearly tunic-removed-), condition. The armband comes - as stated above - in a somewhat period-shortened condition (ie. it measures now 36 cms. in length as once tunic-attached). The armband - which originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered: it does show some minimal wear and/or age and was as such most certainly awarded, worn- and/or stored as such for decades. The cuff-title - which does show some minimal age and/or staining - is executed in the neat (ie. 'smooth-type') darker-blue-coloured, wool and shows the machine-stitched title in silver-white-coloured (and also linnen-based) thread as is more often encountered: as such does it deal with a typical example that was intended for enlisted-men (and NCOs) ie. being an: 'Ausführung für Mannschaften o. Unteroffiziere'. Simply a very nice and naturally genuine, period example that was worn by a fighter-pilot serving in a famous 'Jagdgeschwader' and that is priced according to its minimally shortened- and/or hardly worn, condition!
