This is a truly attractive - and with certainty never dagger-attached ie. possibly issued albeit still 'virtually mint' - example of a 'standard-issue'-pattern, WH (Heeres o. Luftwaffe) dagger-knot (ie. 'Troddel') being a smaller-sized example that was executed in silver-coloured 'bullion' as was specifically intended for usage on the various WH (Heeres o. Luftwaffe) officers'-daggers ('Offiziers-Dolche'). The piece shows simply no wear whatsoever: just some minimal staining is visible simply caused by decades of storage only. The piece is of the smaller-sized type that measures (incl. the knot) 28 cms. as can be seen on the pictures. Simply a very attractive piece that would look awesome if mounted on any officers'-dagger!
