The typically darker-blue-coloured, linnen-based and/or 'twisted'-styled (fairly high-class!) shooting-lanyard (ie. WH Kriegsmarine 'Schützenschnur für Gewehrschützen der 4. Stufe') comes in an overall fine condition and shows no damage whatsoever: just some regular aging and/or slight staining is present and/or visible (as can be seen on the pictures). The attractive piece shows a firmly-mounted (metal-based and greyish-silver-toned) nut (ie. 'Eichel') attached and shows a period-mounted (very pronounced, bright-golden-toned ie. 'Feuervergoldetes' and I deem aluminium-based) 'anchor-shield' period-attached and can thus - I deem - be easily identified as a lanyard being of the (fairly high-placed!) fourth class (ie. 'vierter Stufe'). The piece was only moderately used- and/or worn and shows some minimal wear and or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). Of addtional interest is also the fact that this example shows two (period-attached) metal-based 'snaps' attached (present to firmly attach the lanyard to a tunic). Simply a very attractive and/or decorative 'Kriegsmarine'-related piece that is most certainly rarely encountered and that is I deem priced according to its unmistaken desirabilty!
