'Nahkampfspange in Bronze' (or: bronze-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a maker- (ie. 'F.&B.-L.'-) marked- and/or minimally converse-shaped specimen as was produced by the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') 'Funcke u. Brüninghaus'

This is a very attractive - and I deem just minimally used- and/or worn! - example of a so-called: 'Nahkampfspange in Bronze' (or bronze-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a neatly maker- (ie. 'F.&B.-L.'-) marked- and/or minimally converse-shaped version (by the desirable maker- ie. 'Hersteller': 'Funcke u. Brüninghaus') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem only minimally used ie. worn-), condition. The piece - which has a very detailed and/or pronounced appearance - is as stated a neatly maker-marked version bearing the (as always 'upside-down-positioned'!) makers'-designation- (ie. logo: 'F.&B.-L.') on its back denoting that this is a piece as was produced by the: 'Funcke u. Brüninghaus'-company based in the town of Lüdenscheid. The 'Spange' is as stated a minimally converse-shaped example that comes mounted onto its (fully functional- and typical bronze-coloured) flute-shaped pin (and/or typical 'flat-wire'-type catch- ie. catch-set-up) both which are of course still present, unaltered and/or fully functional. The clasp truly retains almost all of its original golden-bronze-toned finish whereas the 'crimped' (and still neatly black-coloured) metal-based 'back-plate' is naturally also present and firmly in place (as can be noticed on the pictures). A similar example is also described in the excellent reference-book entitled: 'The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II' by my friend Thomas M. Durante wherein this particular pattern is given the unique reference-numeral : '3.2. - F &BL - “2nd Pattern - Flatwire Catch'. The piece was found as such at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply a very attractive and hardly used example of a bronze-class 'Nahkampfspange' by 'F.&B.-L.': it should be noted that original examples of this neat combat-award are nowadays getting hard to find. I deem that I priced this example according to its overall very nice and/or fully untouched, condition!
