  1. ID-discs

The neat ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') - which is I deem of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern - bears the engraved coded numeral ie. text that simply reads: 'F.617 Wehr.Beamt.Mar.' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The ID-disc - that came mounted onto its beige-toned and linnen-based cord as worn - does show some regular wear (it shows somewhat torn-out holes and obvious scratches and/or fair wear). It was, however, never cleaned nor polished and is still a bit dirty: the truly 'bright-coloured'- and frosted golden-bronze-toned finish is, however, still nicely- (ie. almost fully-) preserved. Regrettably, could I not idenify the engraved (coded) number 'F.617' but the KM-staffmember who wore this disc was most certainly a naval administrative official ie. 'Wehrmacht-Beamter der Kriegsmarine'). Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this disc shows the (twice present!) period-engraved text: 'Stamm' on its back: most certainly denoting that the soldier who wore this dics belonged to the root (ie. 'Stamm') of his unit. It should be noted that these 'standard-issue'-pattern and truly decorative KM-related ID-discs (ie. 'Erkennungsmarken') are actually not that easily encountered. Simply an attractive, truly unusually found albeit moderately used- and/or worn naval-example that would most certainly merit further investigative work!
