  1. Belts & Buckles

The truly attractive - and as always non-maker-marked - WH (Heeres) 'pebbled'-styled- and/or typically aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Ausgeh-Koppelschloss für Mannschaften u. Unteroffiziere des Heeres') is of a 'two-pieced'-construction as to be expected: the 'front-plate' is firmly attached to the buckle with four (unaltered) prongs as is more often seen (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - that was I deem only minimally used and/or worn - shows no damage whatsoever: the detail is absolutely nicely preserved and/or still very pronounced (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows a nice (somewhat shiny) age-patina, simply caused by minimal wear and/or decades of storage (it was I deem never cleaned and is still a tiny bit dirty ie. stained). This type of buckle was mainly used in combination with the army-style 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunics (ie. 'Waffenröcke') and was only used for a very short time-frame in the early thirties (after which it was replaced by the normally encountered 'right-facing'-models) and is truly hardly ever offered for sale. These early-pattern- ie. left-facing, WH (Heeres) belt-buckles can easily be graded: 'very scarce': even more so when they come in the 'aluminium-based'-version as this example. Simply a very attractive and early-pattern Heeres-buckle showing a left-facing eagle-device!
