Locally produced(!), 'Waffen-SS'-type armshield as executed in the so-called: 'semi-BeVo'-pattern entitled: 'Latvia' as was merely intended for usage by the members of the: 'Latvian Legion'

This is a very nice - and actually truly rarely encountered! - example of a so-called: 'semi-BeVo'-pattern ie. 'Waffen-SS-type' armshield entitled: 'Latvia' as was specifically intended for usage by the members of the so-called: 'Latvian Legion' (and later the: '15. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS' or: 'Lettische nr.1') and that comes in an overall very nice- (simply never used- nor worn ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The shield comes as stated above in a truly mint and/or never tunic-attached condition: it was never 'trimmed' nor confectioned and comes 'as straightly cut-off the role' (as can be seen on the pictures) and rates as one of the more difficult SS-type shields to encounter. The used 'weave'-technique is very nice and similar to the German 'BeVo'-style technique. These shields were locally-produced in Latvia and are sometimes found with an (interwoven) Latvian makers-designation. Simply a very nice and most certainly rarely encountered foreign-volunteer-related item: only the fourth such rare Latvian-related item I ever had on offer!
