Minimally damaged, RAD (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') so-called: 'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' as was specifically intended for a member who served within the: 'Arbeitsgau XXI' (= Niederrhein)

This is a regrettably minimally damaged (and incomplete!) example of the actually scarcely encountered, multi-coloured- and/or nicely enamelled, RAD (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') so-called: 'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' as was specifically intended for- (and with certainty worn by) an RAD-staffmember who served within the region: 'Arbeitsgau XX1' (being situated in the Niederrhein-province) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- ie. carefully cap-removed-), condition. The metal badge (which is executed in colourful enamel on a copper- (ie. silverish-chrome-based) background as to be expected) depicts the green-coloured provincial-shield of Niederrhein coupled with a swastika and oakleaves (as can be seen on the pictures). The neat badge misses its prongs and is maker- (ie. 'F. Hofstätter - Bonn'-) marked on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). A similar badge is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken lapel-pin-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique number (3805JH) and given an estimated value of: 150 Eu. The badge on offer here and was I deem never cleaned nor polished: it still retains a very nice- and/or minimally tarnished age-patina and does show minimal enamel-damage (as can be noticed on the pictures). Still an attractive - and actually not that often encountered! - (semi-official-) RAD-'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' that is I deem accordingly priced!
