This is an attractive example of the actually scarcely encountered - and truly quite desirable! - WH (Heeres- ie. Waffen-SS) 'Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault badge ie. IAB) being a neatly maker- (ie. 'JB&Co'-) marked example as was produced by the: 'Josef Bergs & Co.'- (ie. 'JB&Co.'-) company that comes in a truly issued- ie. moderately worn, condition. The badge - which is quite 'vaulted' ie. 'converse'-shaped as always - is a typical example as was produced by the: 'Josef Bergs & Co.'- (ie. 'JB&Co.'-) company. The badge shows some obvious wear, age and/or staining but has retained great pronounced detail (as can be noticed on the pictures). It comes naturally mounted onto its functional (and fully unaltered) and (typical, round-shaped) 'JB&Co.'-pin- ie. catch set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - albeit moderately used! - silver-class IAB that will be hard to be upgraded: I deem that I have priced this desirable war-badge according to its obvious scarcity and/or desirability!
