Later-war-period, zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based version of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Erdkampfabzeichen' being a (typical) non-maker-marked example by the Austrian-based: 'Arno Wallpach'-company

This is a typical example of a somewhat later-war-period- (zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-) based example of a WH (Luftwaffe) 'Erdkampfabzeichen' (or: ground-combat badge) being a non-maker-marked example (as always) that was with certainty produced by the Austrian maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Arno Wallpach' as was based in the town of Salzburg and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The neat and fairly detailed war-badge - which as stated above - has been moderately worn (as can be seen on the pictures) comes naturally mounted onto its functional (integrated and typical 'bubble'-shaped!) catch and has a functional pin in place. These zinc-based war-badges are somewhat 'crudely made' but do show, however, nice and/or pronounced detail overall. The badge retains most of its period greyish-silver-finish but does show a somewhat tarnished age-patina as is more often encountered (it was, however, never cleaned and comes as recently found). The badge can with certainty be attributed to the maker: 'Arno Wallpach' (ie. 'AWS'): the specific details on this badge naturally fully corroborate this. The piece is still somewhat stained ie. dirty but has never been cleaned. Simply an attractive - and garuanteed original! - zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based LW war-badge: of course, did I price this example according to its moderately used- and/or worn condition.
