Officers'-pattern so-called: RAD (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') sleeve-badge (or: 'Dienststellenabzeichen') bearing the specialist- (ie. unit-) designation that reads: '283/7'

This is an attractive - truly used and actually not that easily encountered! - officers'-version of a so-called: RAD (ie. 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') sleeve-badge (or: 'Dienststellen-Abzeichen') bearing the specialist- (ie. unit-) designation: '283/7' (as was presumably intended for a RAD-official holding an officers'-rank who served within the 283rd district ie. 'Bezirk') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. clearly used- ie. most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. These attractive badges were worn on the upper-left sleeve of the mustard-coloured (officers'-type-) RAD-tunics and/or garments. The badge - which shows the red-coloured and Latin-styled '104/5'-numerals - is neatly executed in silver-coloured thread in the so-called 'flat-wire'-like, 'BeVo'-weave technique and was as such intended for an officer who served within the 283rd district ie. 'Bezirk'. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this specimen shows a neat (fully present) interwoven makers'- ie. 'Ges.Gesch.'-patent-pending-designation (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was carefully folded ie. trimmed (and was carefully tunic-removed as such). It originates from a larger-sized grouping of RAD- and FAD-insignia that was recently found at a private-household in Germany and that I acquired for the web-site. I deem that I have priced this neat RAD-officers'-pattern 'Dienststellenabzeichen' accordingly!
