This is a neat WH (Heeres) tropical- (ie. 'DAK'- or: 'Deutsches Afrikakorps'-) related- and/or typical aluminium-based, eagle-'pith-helmet'-shield (ie. 'Adlerschild für Tropenhelm') being a maker- (ie. 'A'- or: 'Assmann & Söhne'-) marked example that comes in an overall nice- (ie. once pith-helmet-attached- albeit hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The shield retains its original (three) once bent- and/or folded- also aluminium-based (and truly very fragile!) pins still in place. The shield retains all of its black-painted- (ie. sprayed) surface and is totally void of any damage or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a nice occasion to acquire a neat army-related 'pith-helmet'-shield for a competitive price!
