This is a truly very attractive - and I deem just moderately worn- and/or used! - example of a so-called: 'Nahkampfspange in Silber' (or: silver-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a clearly maker- (ie. 'FLL'-) marked and/or (typical) quite converse-shaped, so-called: 'third pattern'-specimen as was produced by the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') 'Friedrich Linden' and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem just moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The piece - which has a very detailed and/or pronounced appearance - retains most of its (light-toned- ie. bright) silver-coloured finish (something that is most certainly not always the case!) and naturally retains its firmly 'crimped' and metal-based 'back-plate' (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'Spange' is as stated a somewhat converse-shaped example that comes mounted onto its (fully functional- and/or silver-coloured) flute-shaped pin (and/or typical 'thin-shaped-wire'-type catch- ie. crimped-in catch-set-up) both which are of course still present, unaltered and/or fully functional. A similar example is also described in the excellent reference-book entitled: 'The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II' by Thomas M. Durante wherein this particular pattern is given the unique reference-numeral: '2.5 - 'FLL Fat-Bellied Pin - 3rd'-pattern. The piece was found as such at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply a very attractive example of a silver-class 'Nahkampfspange': it should be noted that original examples of this neat - and fairly uncommon combat-award! - are nowadays getting hard to find. I deem that I have priced this neat silver-class example, accordingly!
