Superb, 'Nahkampfspange in Bronze' (or: bronze-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a (typical) non-maker-marked- and/or minimally converse-shaped specimen as was (I deem) produced by the maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') 'Steinhauer & Lück'

This is a truly very attractive - and I deem hardly used- nor worn! - example of a so-called: 'Nahkampfspange in Bronze' (or bronze-class close-combat clasp ie. CCC) being a (typical) non-maker-marked- and/or minimally converse-shaped version as was produced by the desirable maker- (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'Steinhauer & Lück') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem just minimally used ie. worn-), condition. The piece - which has a very detailed and/or pronounced appearance - is as stated above a non-maker-marked version as was (I deem) produced by the: 'Steinhauer & Lück'-company based in the town of Lüdenscheid. The 'Spange' is as stated a minimally converse-shaped example that comes mounted onto its (functional- and typical bronze-coloured) flute-shaped pin (and/or typical 'flat-wire'-type catch- ie. catch-set-up) both which are of course still present, unaltered and/or fully functional. The clasp truly retains almost all of its original bronze-toned finish (something that is most certainly not always the case with these zinc-based CCCs). The 'crimped' and blackened metal-based 'back-plate' is naturally also present and firmly in place (and does show some minimal staining as more often). A similar example is also described in the excellent reference-book entitled: 'The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II' by my friend Thomas M. Durante wherein this particular pattern is given the unique reference-numeral: '12.5 - S&L - “Fluted pin with unique catch & rectangular hinge'. The piece was found as such at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply a very attractive example of a bronze-class 'Nahkampfspange' by the S&L-company: it should be noted that original examples of this neat combat-award are nowadays getting hard to find. I deem that I priced this fantastic example according to its overall nice and/or fully untouched condition!
