This is an attractive - and actually very detailed and not that easily encountered! - 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault badge ie. IAB) being a neatly maker- (ie. 'HA'-) marked so-called: 'solid-back'-example as was executed in greyish-toned- and/or zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem only moderately used ie. worn-), condition. This example is a nicely maker-marked award: it has a 'typical' catch and/or hinge (ie. set-up) as is always seen on IABs as produced by the: 'Hermann Aurich'-company as based in the town of Dresden. The badge seems to be totally uncleaned and has a still a very attractive and somewhat darkened (ie. stained) age-patina: truly most of its period-applied silver-toned finish has been nicely preserved and it was never cleaned. The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present. The piece - which originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found - comes in a fully untouched condition and has just been nicely preserved. Simply an attractive and honest, 'Feinzink'-based example as was produced the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Hermann Aurich'!
