This is a very attractive - albeit most certainly issued- and/or just minimally worn - example of a (bright-golden-bronze-toned): 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze-class infantry-assault-badge ie. IAB) being a typical non-maker-marked, so-called: 'semi-hollow-back' example as was executed in bright golden-bronze-toned, zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink'-) and that was - I deem - produced by the: 'Rudolf A. Karneth u. Söhne'-company and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem presumably issued- and/or just minimally used ie. worn-), condition. This example is a typical non-maker-marked award and shows the various characteristics as only seen on IABs as produced by the: 'Rudolf A. Karneth u. Söhne'-company as was based in the town of Gablonz. The - truly very pronounded! - war-badge seems to be totally uncleaned and has a still a very attractive and somewhat tarnished age-patina: truly most of its period-applied (and somewhat 'frosted' ie. bright!) golden-bronzed finish has been nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - was never cleaned and has been nicely preserved. Simply an honest 'Feinzink'-based, bronze-class IAB of the 'semi-hollow-back'-variant-type that was produced the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Rudolf A. Karneth u. Söhne' and that is accordingly priced!
