This is a very attractive - and actually scarcely found! - example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class infantry assault badge ie. IAB) being a nicely maker- (ie. 'L/61'-) marked example as executed in zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that was produced by the desirable: 'Friedrich Linden'- (ie. 'F.L.L.'-) company and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. This example has a 'typical' riveted-catch and/or hinge set-up (as is only seen on IABs by the: 'F.L.L.'-company). The badge seems to be totally uncleaned and has still an attractive and/or somewhat 'tarnished' age-patina: most of its period-applied silver finish has been nicely preserved. The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and present. The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - shows some moderate wear and/or staining and was never cleaned. It should be noted that IABs as produced by the 'F.L.L.'-company are hardly ever found with an 'LDO'- (ie. 'L/61'-) designation. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a truly scarcely encountered 'IAB-variant' that was produced by the: 'Friedrich Linden'-company based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that is priced according to its comparative rarity and/or desirability!
