Neat, linnen-based- and/or blue-coloured armband (ie. 'Armbinde') depicting a felt-woolen-based, capital 'M'-character as was presumably intended for staff-members (ie. 'Melder') of the German RLB (ie. 'Reichsluftschutz-Bund')

This is an attractive, linnen-based- and/or bright-blue- (ie. 'kornblumenblauer'-) coloured armband (ie. 'Armbinde') depicting a neat - unusually seen! - felt-woolen-based- and beige-white-coloured capital 'M'-character as was presumably intended for staff-members (ie. 'Melder') of the German RLB (ie. 'Reichsluftschutz-Bund') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly issued- and/or most certainly worn-), condition. These neat linnen-based armbands were (presumably) used by the various (civil- and/or military-) staff-members of the German air-raid-warden service (ie. 'RLB') and signified: 'Melder'. The armband on offer here measures approximately 41 x 9,3 cms. and is executed in typical, fine-structured linnen (showing a white-beige-coloured- and felt-woolen-based capital 'M'-character as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - that is not stitched-together as more often - shows some minimal staining ie. dust simply caused by moderate wear and/or decades of storage (as can be seen on the pictures). This example originates from a larger-sized armband-collection that was compiled over the years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. I deem that I have priced this interesting RLB- (ie. 'Reichsluftschutz-Bund'-) related example accordingly!
