This particular eagle-type was specifically designed for usage by the various 'Gendarmerie'- (ie. police-) units and was worn throughout the war. The eagle - which shows great pronounced detail - was simply never used nor once tunic-attached: it does show some storage-age only (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply an attractive - and 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'! - example that is I deem accordingly priced!
