Single-pieced - and actually scarcely found! - WH (Heeres, LW etc.) ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band- o. Feldspange') showing the ribbon for a WH Memel- (ie. 'Memelland'-) 'Anschluss'- (ie. occupation-) medal: '22 März 1939'

The attractive single-pieced, WH (Heeres, LW etc.) ribbon-bar (ie. 'Band- o. Feldspange') shows the colourful ribbon for the WH Memel- (ie. 'Memelland'-) 'Anschluss'- (ie. occupation-) medal: '22 März 1939' (as was given to all members of the armed forces that participated in the German occupation of the Memelland, which started on 22 March 1939). The ribbon-bar is of the regular (ie. larger) ribbon-bar-size and measures approximately 2,5 cms. in length as is more often encountered (as can be seen on the pictures). The 'Spange' comes in a nice condition overall and is of course fully functional: it is, however, not 'backed' but comes mounted onto a chrome-steel-based and crimped 'plate' that shows some rust-staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece retains its functional pin-/catch-attachment (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular example was just moderately worn ie. used: it does show some usage-marks and/or minimal aging ie. wear. Simply an attractive (and not that easily found!) single-pieced, WH-'Band-/Feldspange': great to decorate almost any tunic!
