The attractive - and actually scarcely found! - WH (Heeres) officers'-type collar-tabs (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Offiziere des Heeres') are typical, 'text-book'-examples of the Heeres-pattern, officers'-type, 'Feldgendarmerie o. Akademie'- (ie. field-police-troops- or academy-member) related officers-type collar-tabs and have the silverish-grey- (ie. clearly 'sub-dued'-type- and just minimally darkened) silver-toned hand-embroidery. The tabs were most certainly worn and carefully tunic-removed and came as stored for decades (as can be seen on the pictures). The tabs show the desirable bright-orange- (ie. 'orangeroter'-) coloured branchcolour (and were constructed from the 'smooth-type' wool as to be expected). Taking into account, the fact that this pair has the somewhat 'sub-dued'-type embroidery I deem that it was a pair that was intended to be used on a regular 'front-used'-tunic. It should be mentioned that these officers'-pattern, 'Feldgendarmerie o. Akademie'-related collar-tabs are actually quite hard to come by and can easily be graded 'fairly scarce'. The pair - that is unusualy not 'backed' with 'buckram'-based material - shows some minimal age, wear and or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). This attractive pair originated from a private-household in Germany where it was recently found as such. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) collar-tab-pair that belonged an officer who served within an: 'Feldgendarmerie-Abteilungs o. Akademie'!
