This is an attractive example of a bright-silver-coloured- and/or typical aluminium-based, WH (Heeres) (ie. 'Grenadiere o. Infanterie'-) related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') that comes mounted onto its (period-attached- and/or typical linnen-based albeit somewhat damaged- ie. truly worn) cord bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Stammkp. G.E.B.111' (and as such being a disc that was - I deem - intended for a soldier (or: NCO) who served within the: root-company of the 'Grenadiere'- (infantry-) related, replacement (ie. 'Ersatz') battalion, numbered: '111' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition. The attractive disc comes in an overall very nice condition (and is executed in a very attractive letter-type!) and shows the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn (it shows somewhat 'torn-out' holes as can be seen on the pictures). The disc is void of a soldiers'-blood-group-type as more often (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc was never cleaned nor polished (it is still a bit stained and/or dirty). The disc originates from a larger ID-disc-collection that was compiled over many years. Simply an attractive and honest WH 'Grenadiere o. Infanterie'-related ID-disc that is with certainty accordingly priced!
