This is a neat - regrettably single but nevertheless actually unusually encountered! - early-period, enlisted-mens'-pattern collar-tab (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Mannschaften') as was specifically intended for - and clearly worn by! - a member of the: 'Stahlhelmbund' (ie. 'Der Stahlhelm' - Bund der Frontsoldaten (or: Sta)' having the (lowest existing) rank of: 'Wehrmann' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The tab is executed in (smooth-type) black-coloured wool and shows the white-coloured (and/or woolen-type) piping attached: moreover, does it show a detailed 'Eichenlaub'-cypher (ie. device or: 'Ziffer') period-attached (which is executed in silvered, so-called: 'Buntmetall' and that shows some regular age-patina ie. tarnished surface as can be noticed on the pictures). The tab has a typical 'buckram'-based 'backing' in place (that shows an unusually seen and neatly ink-stamped makers'-designation). Moreover, does it still show some of its period stitching-remains with which it was once tunic-attached. Simply a neat - and most certainly not that often encountered! - single 'Der Stahlhelmbund'-related EM-type collar-tab that was intended for a 'Wehrmann' and that is I deem accordingly priced!
