This an attractive example of a WH (Heeres) rank-insignia (ie. arm-roundel) as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'Oberschütze' being an interesting example as executed in silverish-grey-coloured linnen onto a so-called: 'HBT'-type- and/or greenish-coloured background that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem never used- ie. 'virtually mint'-), condition. The piece shows some minimal age simply caused by having been been stored as such for decades. The piece - which is not maker-marked but that shows an unusually seen, green-coloured 'fortified' border - is not backed as can be seen from the pictures: it was never before part of any collection and originates from a private-household. It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple' Heeres- rank-badges are actually quite hard to encounter. Simply a great occasion to acquire a neat Heeres-rank-badge as intended for a Heeres soldier having the rank of: 'Oberschütze'!
