This is an attractive - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres), (I deem) early-war-period (ie. 'M36'/M40-pattern, rounded-styled) NCO-type shoulderstraps as was piped in the neat bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured branchcolour as was spefcifically intended for - and most certainly worn by! - an: 'Unteroffizier der Heeres Nachrichten-Truppen' (or junior-sergeant who served within an army-signals unit ie. regiment) and tha comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately used ie. worn-), condition. The neat straps - which have the 'standard'-pattern, darker-green-coloured- and/or 'smooth-woolen'-based 'upperdecks' and which are of the 'regular-issued'-type - show the neat bright-yellow- (ie. 'zitronengelber'-) coloured- (and/or: woolen-type-) piping attached. The straps which measure approximately 11,2 cms. in length each, come mounted onto their functional tongues and come in a nice, ie. fully 'text-book'-condition, overall. I deem that they once had chain-stitched regimental numerals BUT these were period-removed (as per regulation): some remains are present but hardly visible. The shoulderstraps show the 'standard'-type, silverish-coloured NCO-braid attached denoting the NCOs-rank of: 'Unteroffizier' and show - as stated above - only moderate usage ie. wear (some regular age, dust and/or staining is clearly visible and/or present). The pair originates from a private-household in Germany and was carefully stored and kept as such for decades: the pair was never before in a collection. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a neat and most certainly desirable NCO-type, 'Heeres Nachrichten'-shoulderstrap-pair that was worn by an: 'Unteroffizier der Heeres Nachrichten-Truppen'!
