This is an attractive - and fairly scarcely encountered! - early-pattern (and female-related!) armbadge (ie. 'Ärmelabzeichen o. Ärmelraute') as was specifically intended for usage by a female member who served within the: 'Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst' (or: women's labour-service) and that comes in an overall nice- (and most certainly worn- and/or once tunic-attached- ie. carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat badge - which is somewhat shaped as a regular 'HJ-Raute' - measures (folded ie. trimmed) 9,5 x 7,2 cms. and shows a black-coloured swastika-sign surrounded by some cornflowers on a red- and white-coloured background. The 'BeVo'-woven-type badge - which was to be worn on the left upper-arm - was once glued into an album or scrap-book and does show some minimal glue- (ie. carton) remains on its back as (can be seen on the pictures). The 'Deutscher Frauenarbeitsdienst' was the predecessor of the later-founded: 'RADwJ' (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst des weiblichen Jugend'). Simply a very attractive, early-period- and female-related TR-related 'Ärmelabzeichen' that will be very hard to be upgraded and that is with certainty accordingly priced!
