This is an attractive example of an - actually scarcely encountered! - RAD (or: 'Reichsarbeitsdienst') so-called: 'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' as was specifically intended for (and with certainty worn by) a member who served within the region: 'Arbeitsgau XV' (being situated in the province Niedersachsen-Ost) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used ie. cap-removed-) condition. The metal badge (as executed in silvered- and/or molded 'Buntmetall' as is more ofen encountered) depicts two crossed horse-heads with below a swastika-sign. The badge retains all its four prongs (for attachment to the cap) which are once bent but that are naturally still functional. A similar cap-badge is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken lapel-pin-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (3805JG) and wherein it is given an estimated value of 150 Eu. The badge on offer here was I deem never cleaned nor polished: it still retains a very nice- and/or minimally tarnished age-patina. Simply an attractive and actually not that often encountered (semi-official) RAD-'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
