  1. Shoulderboards & -straps (singles)

This is a truly very attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless rarely found! - example of an early-period (ie. 'M36- o. M40'-pattern and/or rounded-styled) WH (Heeres) 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstrap as piped in the desirable black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied einer Pionier-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs' (or: simple 'Pionier'- ie. enigineer-soldier who served within a specific, army reconnaisance unit) and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The neat strap - which is executed in the darker-green-coloured wool - shows the neat black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour (and/or woolen-type-) piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The strap measures approximately 11,5 cms. in length and never had a tongue-attached: I deem that it was used as a strap of the 'sew-in'-pattern. The stap shows the neat (machine-embroidered by means of so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'), Gothic-styled: 'A'-cypher (or: 'Ziffer') attached (which is executed in the white- ie. 'weisser'-coloured wool ie. linnen (!) something that was presumably done due to the better visibility on the darker-green-coloured upperdeck). The strap - which is of the typical 'standard-issued'-pattern - shows as stated above only moderate usage and wear (just some minimal age, dust and/or staining is visible and/or present). It should be noted that ALL 'cyphered', enlisted-mens'-pattern, 'Pioniere'-type shoulderstraps can easily be regarded 'rare' and come not often for sale. In any case a very attractive, rarely found and early-war-period, 'Heeres-Pioniere o. Aufklärungs'-related, EM-type shoulderstrap that was intended for usage by a: 'Soldat u. Mitglied einer Pionier-Aufklärungs-Abteilungs': too bad that it is only a single specimen!
