The very attractive - albeit minimally used- and/or worn but nevertheless scarcely seen! - silver-class wound-badge (ie. wound-badge (or: 'Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber') truly retains most of its original, siver-coloured- and/or somewhat 'matted'- (ie. satin-like-) finish: it only shows just moderate wear and was simply nicely preserved over the years. The (non-magnetic) wound-badge is constructed from silvered so-called: 'Buntmetall' and is - as stated above - neatly maker-marked with the makers'-designation: 'L/56' (as is clearly visible on the back of the badge as can be seen on the pictures) signifying that it deals with a piece that was produced by the desirable 'Funcke & Brüninghaus'-company as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid. Of course, are the (regular- ie. thin-shaped- and/or also non-magnetic) pin and/or: (typical) catch (-set-up) fully functional and of course present. This piece has never been cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal dust and/or minimal staining as to be expected.
