This is an attractive - albeit regrettably single but nevertheless with certainty scarcely encountered! - neatly 'cyphered', officers-pattern shoulderboard (ie. 'Schulterstück für Offiziere des Heeres') as was specifically intended for usage by a WH (Heeres) 'Heeresfeldpostinspektor' (or: army-fieldpost-inspector being of a rank comparable with an: 'Oberleutnant'-rank) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit moderately worn ie. most certainly once tunic-attached-), condition. The board - which has an approximate length of 10,3 cms. - is executed in the 'smooth'-like- and/or (typical) darker-green-coloured wool (aka moleskin'-wool). It has the (bright- ie. lemon-yellow- or: 'zitronengelber'-coloured-) branchcolour and typical silver-greyish-coloured 'upperdeck' (showing an - interwoven and equally bright-yellow-coloured - 'stripe' something that was obligatory for all shoulderboards as worn and/or used by the various 'Feldpost'-service officials). The board - which was worn on the 'standard'-type, field-grey-coloured 'Heeres'-officers-pattern tunics - shows a bright-golden-coloured (ie. I deem 'Buntmetall'-based-) 'FP'-cypher and single (equally bright-golden-coloured- and equally styled) pip, period-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The board never had a tongue attached and was intended to be used as a board of the sew-in-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). Of interest is, morover, the fact that the 'FP-cypher' was attached BEFORE the piece was entirely assembled. The board was I deem moderately used and/or worn and shows as stated above moderate wear and/or age. Simply a very attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - neatly 'cyphered' so-called: 'Feldpost'-related shoulderboard: x-times more rarely encountered than a 'regular' WH 'Oberleutnant'-shoulderboard!
