This is a very attractive - and I deem issued- and just moderately used ie. once tunic-attached! - example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type, hand-embroidered- (and truly very detailed!) army-type breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Heeres') being executed in bright-silverish-coloured braid onto a black-coloured- and/or 'smooth'-woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice, condition. This example - having a length ie. 'wingspan' of approximately 11,2 cms. - is very nicely hand-embroidered using (bright) silverish-coloured 'braid' on a black-coloured (and/or typical woolen-based) background and has some 'highlighted areas' as executed in green- (ie. silver-) coloured thread ie. braid (as can be seen on the pictures). The eagle - which is void of a makers'-designation as more often and that does show some moderate age only as can be noticed on the pictures - shows a typical black-coloured- and/or paper-based 'backing' attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive example of a WH (Heeres) officers'-type breast-eagle of the 'Extra Qualität' as was specifically constructed for usage onto the black-coloured 'wrap-around'-pattern tunics that is with certainty accordingly priced!
