Superb - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-) war-period 'M36 o. M40'-pattern- (ie. rounded-styled- and neatly 'cyphered') EM-type shoulderstraps as was intended for a: 'Soldat eines Wehrersatz-Dienstelle im Wehrkreis IX...

This is an attractive - fully matching and actually scarcely found! - pair of WH (Heeres), early- (ie. pre-) war-period, so-called: 'M36 o. M40'-pattern- (ie. rounded-styled- and neatly 'cyphered') EM-type shoulderstraps as piped in the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by a: 'Soldat eines Wehrersatz-Dienstelle im Wehrkreis IX' (or simple soldier who served within an infantry-related, army recruitment-unit that resided under the region ie. 'Wehrkreis', numbered: 'IX') and that comes in overall very nice- (albeit I deem moderately used- ie. worn- and/or: carefully tunic-removed-), condition. The neat straps - which are both approximately 11,2 cms. sized in length - have the 'standard-pattern' and/or: dark-green-coloured- and/or: woolen-based 'upperdecks' and have as stated above the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured- and/or 'silk-like'-type piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The shoulderstraps show each the machine-embroidered, Latin-styled: 'W'-cypher and Roman-styled 'IX'-numerals (which are executed in the white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured wool- ie. fine-structured linnen in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei' as to be expected as can be seen on the pictures). The pair never had any tongues attached and was clearly intended for usage as a pair of the 'sew-in'-type. The 'Wehrkreis' numbered: 'IX' comprised of the region around Kassel and had its HQ also based in this town. The pair was I deem only moderately used and does show some age-, wear- and/or minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive and only moderately used and/or worn, 'Heeres' EM-type shoulderstrap-pair that belonged to a: 'Soldat eines Wehrersatz-Dienstelle im Wehrkreis IX': I deem that I have priced this attractive and scarcely found EM-pair accordingly!
