Moderately worn and fully matching, 4-pieced insignia-grouping comprising of a pair of WH (LW) officers'-type shoulderboards and dito collar-tabs as was intended for usage by a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied der Nachrichten-Truppen'

The neat - fully matching and carefully tunic-removed! - 4-pieced LW-insignia-set was with certainty always together and was recently found together as such. The neatly shoulderboards - which are constructed from the light-brown- (ie. 'hell- o. kupferbrauner'-) coloured and/or: 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in a moderately used- and/or carefully tunic-removed, condition. The pair has somewhat shiny, bright silver-coloured 'upperdecks' as to be expected for a true LW-pair. The boards are just a bit 'tarnished' ie. stained by normal age. The boards - which measure approximately 11 cms. in length each - show two matching sets of (golden-toned- and regular-sized) pips period-attached, denoting the officers'-rank of: 'Hauptmann' (ie. captain). The boards never had any tongues and were clearly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards came with an equally nicely preserved (and also worn- ie. also once tunic-attached) pair of neatly hand-embroidered, officers'-type collar-patches (ie. 'Kragenspiegel für Offiziere der Luftwaffe') which are also piped in the light-brown- (ie. 'hell- o. kupferbrauner'-) coloured branchcolour. The silver-toned hand-embroidery - which is executed on a brown-coloured- and/or typical 'smooth woolen'-based background as to be expected - shows some staining, age and/or wear (as can be seen on the pictures). The set is neatly 'backed' with beige-coloured, buckram-based material as is more often encountered. This interesting 4-pieced, LW insignia-grouping belonged to a: 'Hauptmann u. Mitglied der Nachrichten-Truppen' who was issued this set, used it and then stored it as such for decades. Simply an attractive Luftwaffe 'Nachrichten'- (ie. signals) related insignia-grouping that is - I deem - accordingly priced!
