This is a very attractive - and with certainty Dutch-produced - example of the with certainty rarely encountered, neatly hand-embroidered (and most certainly later-war-pattern!) arm-badge (ie. arm-shield) as was intended for members serving within the: 'SS-Frw.Brig.' “Landstorm Nederland“ and that comes in an overall very nice- (and/or I deem possibly issued- albeit never worn- ie. 'virtually mint'-), condition. The neat patch - which approximately measures 8 x 4 cms. - comes mounted onto a black-coloured- and/or woolen-based 'backing' (which is nicely covered by beige-toned paper) whereupon a bright-orange- and blue-coloured 'triangular'-symbol is embroidered that shows in its centre the (also hand-embroidred!) characters ie. text: 'L.S.N.' (being the abbreviation of the Dutch Waffen-SS divisional name: “Landstorm Nederland“ (as can be seen on the pictures). There is not much nown regarding these interesting badges: they were most certainly produced but no (photgraphic) evidence has surfaced corroborating that they were ever used nor worn. Nevertheless, can these neatly hand-embroidered 'L.S.N.'-armshields easily be considered 'very rare' and are not often appearing on todays market. The piece on offer here was (as stated above) never used nor tunic-attached (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a nice occasion to acquire a 100% guaranteed original, Dutch-related, arm-shield as was intended for usage by the members serving within the 'SS-Frw.Brig.' “Landstorm Nederland“: just the first such very interesting example I ever had on offer!
