This is a very attractive - and actually rarely encountered! - example of a neatly hand-embroidered NSRL- (ie. 'NS Reichsbund für Leibesübungen'-related sports'-tunic-patch as was specifically intended for usage on the various shirts and/or tunics during the Berlin Olympic Games held in 1936 and hat comes in an overall nicely preserved- (albeit clearly worn- ie. minimallly restored-), condition. The somewhat larger-sized, shield-shaped patch measures approximately 12 x 10,5 cms. and is executed in multi-pieced 'layers' of typical 'felt-like' wool and shows a (typically-shaped!) eagle-device (which is executed in so-called: 'Kurbelstickerei'. It should be noted that these neatly embroidered NSRL-patches can easily be considered 'very scarce': this is just the first such desirable example I ever had on offer. The piece is not 'backed' but is (nicely!) restored with some pieces of felt on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a nice occasion to acquire an Berlin Olympic Games-related, NSRL-sports'-tunic-patch that was intended for usage during the 'Olympiade 1936': I deem that I have priced this neat - and truly rarely seen! - example accordingly!
