Truly used - and fully matching! - pair of WH (Heeres) neatly 'cyphered', officers'-type shoulderboards as piped in the black-coloured branchcolour as was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillons 99'

The attractive - and truly worn and/or used! - WH (Heeres) pair is piped in the typical black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured branchcolour: as such, the pair was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillons 99' (ie. lieutnant first-class who served within the army mountain-troops-related, engineers'-battailon, numbered: '99'). The attractive pair was most certainly issued and worn as such but comes, nevertheless, in an overall nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition. The shoulderboards - which are constructed from the black- (ie. 'schwarzer'-) coloured, 'smooth-type' (ie. moleskin-like-) wool - come in an excellent condition overall (the pair is fully matching as can be seen on the pictures). The somewhat 'sub-dued' appearance of the 'upperdecks' is fully present and/or preserved (something that is to be expected for a 'Heeres'-related shoulderboard-pair). The boards are just a tiny bit 'tarnished' by normal age and/or storage for decades and do show some age, wear and staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The boards - which measure approximately 11,8 cms. in length each - show a matching pair of the neat (golden-toned, 'Buntmetall'-based- and/or smaller-sized) double '9'-numerals ie. cyphers (or: 'Ziffern') and two (identical, somewhat tarnished and equally golden-toned) pips period-attached denoting the officers'-rank ie. function of: 'Oberleutnant des Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillons 99'. The straps never had any tongues attached and were clearly used as a pair of the 'sew-in'-pattern (as can be seen on the pictures). This pair originated from an older 'Gebirgjäger'-related shoulderstrap ie. board-collection that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply an attractive, neatly 'cyphered' and/or 'Heeres'-related officers'-type shoulderboard-pair that was intended for usage by an: 'Oberleutnant des Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillons 99'!
